What types of site preparation do you handle?+
We focus on small and mid-sized property projects such as grading, shed and structure pads, trenching, material placement, drainage-related shaping and targeted excavation.
Do you offer land clearing?+
Land clearing is not a primary service. We focus our equipment work on defined site preparation, grading, trenching, pads, drainage and final shaping.
Can you prepare a shed or outbuilding pad?+
Yes, for select projects. We evaluate access, finished elevation, drainage, slope, pad dimensions and the base material required for the planned structure.
Can you grade a yard that holds water?+
Often, but the solution depends on available fall and a safe discharge location. Some properties need grading alone, while others need a swale, catch basin, drain line or another drainage component.
Who contacts 811 before digging?+
JM Precision will contact 811 when the approved excavation scope requires utility locating. Private utilities, septic components and customer-installed lines may require separate locating by the property owner or a private locator.
Do you haul away excavated soil and debris?+
Hauling and disposal can be included when identified in the approved scope. Material volume, access, loading conditions and disposal requirements affect the project price.
Can you spread and grade delivered stone or soil?+
Yes, for select projects. We confirm material type, estimated quantity, delivery access, placement area and the intended finished elevation before work begins.
What access does equipment need?+
Access depends on the machine and scope. Gate width, overhead branches, slopes, soft ground, septic components and nearby structures can all affect equipment selection and project feasibility.
Can site preparation include drainage work?+
Yes. Pads, grading and excavation should be planned around runoff and finished drainage. The scope may include positive grading, swales, stone or other drainage components when appropriate.
Do I need a permit for grading or excavation?+
Requirements vary by location, project size, utilities, structures and environmental conditions. The property owner and JM Precision can clarify known permit responsibilities before the approved work begins.
